This antique Victorian bracelet set features a floral plaque encrusted with warm garnets and pearls mounted in a gold-filled mesh. Popularly known as wedding garter bracelets, their incorporation of loyalty symbolism and hidden clasp make them easily adjustable. When couples became engaged, the bride-to-be received the first bracelet of a matching two-piece set, which was traditionally worn up until the wedding day when the second bracelet was added. Over time, many sets have become separated, making them uniquely difficult to find in pairs. This antique set of Victorian bracelets is just as stunning today as it was over 135 years ago.
